25,000 guineas Charm Spirit colt out of a well related unraced mare. Weakened late when mid-field here on debut a fortnight ago, and likely to do much better with that under his belt.

Shaped as if a step up in trip would suit when finishing down the field in a C&D novice in June, but didn't fare a great deal better at Lingfield (7f) last time. Looks one for nurseries after another run.

Dam won over 7f/1m and is out of a winning half-sister to Sprint Cup -winner Tante Rose. Yard has excellent 8-17 record in juvenile maidens/novices here since 2016, so one to note in the market.

Iffraaj half-brother to useful milers Garrick and Bullingdon out of Group 3 Fred Darling winner Rimth. Holds a listed-race entry, and represents track's leading trainer, so entitled to maximum respect.

Ran well on debut at York in May, and may have won if he hadn't been hampered in the closing stages. Still green when down the field in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Ascot, and respected on initial effort.
Havana Gold half-brother to 1½m winner Pastoral Music and 2-y-o 7f winner Escape The City out of a 1½m-1¾m winner. Yard 1-17 with juveniles here in recent times, and this colt may need further.

80/1
Zoffany filly who cost only £5,000 earlier this year and whose dam was a winner over 6f and 7f. Showed some ability when seventh of 14 on debut at Salisbury last month, but plenty more needed to contend here.

Forecasts

Kessaar (8/11), Ginger Fox (10/3), Bobby Ewing (7/1), Crackin Dream (8/1), Spiritually (20/1), Catch The Cuban (28/1), Lieutenant Conde (66/1), Willa's Wish (80/1)

York second Kessaar is the form pick despite flopping at Royal Ascot, and ought to bounce back, but he will need to if he's top cope with intriguing newcomers CRACKIN DREAM and Ginger Fox, who appeal on pedigree and represent yards with excellent records with their two-year-olds in similar races. Clive Cox in particular has an enviable strike-rate here, and Crackin Dream shades the verdict on that basis.
  1. Crackin Dream
  2. Ginger Fox
  3. Kessaar
