Beat just one home on his debut over C&D when starting as a 33/1 chance and offered little; always behind. Yard are 1-19 with their juveniles this year but this one needs to make huge strides to get involved.

By Noble Mission he offered plenty to work on from his Newbury debut keeping on well without finding a clear passage on a couple of occasions in the closing stages. Kept on well over 6f and this trip ought to suit him with progress likely.

Down the field (10th of 16) on debut at Newbury over a slightly shorter trip than this in a race that contained plenty of eye-catchers and has proved strong form (six of the field won next time out). Could well improve for that outing and respected.

Has a pedigree that makes plenty of appeal and was worth noting after his debut at Sandown (7f). Needed the experience (considerately handled) but finished off well and finished with something left; likely to go well in this.

One of the more experienced in the field he built on his debut run when switched to the AW last time and upped to this trip (debut over 6f). Positive was that he was third to a subsequent winner last time the downside was that he was a little errant.

Newcomer from a yard that continue to provide juvenile winners (nearly up to 50 now) with several winners in her pedigree (stamina on dam's side). One to be interested in given her background/pedigree and market support should be noted.

Showed a little more last time than she did on her debut switched to this C&D although she needs to fare a lot better to make an impression here. Needs this runs for a nursery mark and that's where her future lies after this.

Forecasts

Phoenix Of Spain (6/5), Multamis (3/1), Zmhar (3/1), Hackle Setter (10/1), Kersall (10/1), Elusive Brand (14/1), Exousia (100/1), Ocean Reach (100/1)

14:20 Wolverhampton - 29 July 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

There are several winners in the pedigree of PHOENIX OF SPAIN and it will be no surprise to see him build on his 4th at Sandown which was very much a learning experience for him. That form was given a boost by the win of the 2nd (Persian Moon) at York on Friday evening and he’s expected to know a lot more this time. The better of the two newcomers looks to be Elusive Brand from a stable that continue to churn out juvenile winners and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see this daughter of Elusive Quality make a winning debut. Multamis could not have come from a race that’s working out better and improvement is expected from him along with Hackle Setter and Zmhar.
  1. Phoenix Of Spain
  2. Elusive Brand
  3. Multamis
