Beat only two rivals in a couple of races as a juvenile, but both were over significantly shorter and he improved when fifth of 11 to Polish in maiden over this at Salisbury last month. Hood retained, and he should do better again.

Half-brother to numerous winners, including smart 7f-1¼m winner Fight Club. Promising effort on debut when third over 1¼m at Nottingham in April, and although he couldn't build on that next time, he remains with potential going forward.

Al Kazeem colt, who is the first foal of a fair winner over 1m. Badly in need of experience when down the field at Wolverhampton on December debut, and likely to leave that bare form well behind. Market useful.

Forecasts

Fairlight (4/6), Kolo Tamam (7/4), Chaparral Prince (7/1)

19:40 Newmarket - 27 July 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

None of the trio have set the world alight, but they all appeal as slow burners who are open to improvement over middle distances, with FAIRLIGHT perhaps having most potential. The market will guide regarding Kolo Tamam who is impossible to weigh up, but Chaparral Prince took a step forward on his return, and ought to be competitive with a repeat.
  1. Fairlight
  2. Chaparral Prince
  3. Kolo Tamam
