Competitive in three of her four starts this term without yet winning. Back on a handy mark as a result. Should be heavily involved if at her best, though ideal conditions are a little bit slower than this.

Won a seller here over 7½f last year (good to firm). Yet to strike in handicap company, but was beaten just 1L here over C&D from this mark last month. Held over 1m4½f last time, but each-way claims back over this trip.

Sole win was over 7f on AW at Kempton in 2015. Has been well held in all starts this season since wind surgery. Mark has plummeted and he has dropped in grade as a result, but not easy to be sweet on his chance on recent evidence.

Goes well here, two of his three wins beng over C&D on soft ground. On a handy mark again, so could do better back here over this trip, although record suggests that he is not as effective when conditions are fast.

Prolific winner who is back on a handy mark again at 2lb lower than his last win, after a string of defeats. Check the market, as this has been a bit of a pattern to his career. Wouldn't rule out a much better effort.

Saves his best for Wolverhampton, but has a turf win to his name at Newcastle (1m, good) in 2015. Was competitive from 1lb higher last time, but more needed on his first start over this sort of trip for some time.

Down the field a big prices in all three novice starts over 7f/1m. Step up in trip not ideal according to pedigree and unless significant support on this handicap debut, he is probably one to watch.

0-21. Has a squeak from this mark judged on his nose second at Hamilton (1m1f, soft) three starts ago. Stays this trip and if he can overcome a wide draw, he has each-way claims.

1-30, her sole win being at Wetherby (1m, good) in May 2016, when 9lb higher. Well handicapped on that form, but has been well short of it so far this season and others are preferred.

Well beaten in all five starts under both codes, including her handicap debut over C&D recently. Can only watch.

Best effort was his 13L fourth in a 1m Newcastle (AW) maiden last November, but even that would not be good enough to see him get competitive from this basement mark.

Has improved for all three handicap starts and went close here over C&D (good to firm) from this mark last time. A repeat or better should see her go very close.

Well held in all four starts so far, including on handicap debut at Hamilton (1m3f, good to firm) last time. 2lb drop and hood now on, but need to see more from him.

Looked as though she might be effective in nurseries when finishing her stint in novice company with a good effort at Ripon (1m, good) last August. Has not yet been able to deliver on that promise, but better last time and could get involved.

Yet to make the frame from five attempts. Takes a marked step up in trip here and there are possibilities from her pedigree that it might bring some improvement. Market check advised.

21:00 Beverley - 23 July 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Moderate fayre to bring down the curtain on the evening and BOLLIN JOAN looks to have the right credentials to come good. Improving in handicaps, she can go one better than over C&D last time. Stablemate Foxy's Spirit is also interesting, as is Symphonic now stepped up in trip. Outlaw Torn, Captain Peaky and Iberica Road are others for whom some sort of case can be made.
