From a stable that are in good form at the moment he certainly never took to chasing and returns to hurdles a sphere in which he's won off a 2lb lower mark. Considerately handled when last seen over hurdles and not ruled out of this.

Didn't show much for Venetia Williams when trained in GB before but won three times returned to France and shaped very well on his recent return for this yard. Very considerately handled and not knocked about; plenty to come for this burgeoning yard.

Appears to be rejuvenated of late over hurdles and took a C&D event last time responding well to pressure after doing plenty on the lead. Still looks well treated on his chasing form (won off higher than here); bold bid likely from the front.

Useful sort on the Flat who hasn't seen much action over hurdles but has won twice once in handicaps, the last time off 7lb lower. Did well enough off his revised mark last time but it looks as though the handicapper might have a grip now.

Dual C&D winner with both of those wins having come from way off the pace (one looked a lost cause under today's rider). Hardly went with much vim or vigour here last time and not the most fancied of the trainer's four runners in this.

Spent all of last season in the doldrums and consequently his mark has plummeted but he did show some signs of life over C&D last time. Now 25lb below his last winning mark (chase) and any market confidence would be significant.

Cheekpieces now go on for the first-time and his three runs here this year have shown little despite being a dual C&D winner. Making his way down the handicap but needs to show more to be of interest.

Looks to be the best of the four runners from his stable and he cashed in on a drop in the weights to win over C&D in May off a 6lb lower mark. Didn't look an obvious one to follow-up and didn't running poorly two days later; not ruled out.

Looks well treated on the form he showed in Ireland when with Noel Meade but wind surgery and various headgear have failed to get him to reproduce anything like that for this yard. Best watched for now.

Forecasts

Wells De Lune (11/4), Candy Burg (7/2), Innocent Touch (6/1), Apterix (6/1), Utility (7/1), Golden Town (8/1), Dodgybingo (10/1), Lough Kent (20/1), Captain Brown (33/1)

The local trainer Jimmy Moffatt saddles four of the field here but his yard are having a poor time here this year (1-36 so far) and it would be a surprise if he landed this with any of his quartet although Golden Town would have a chance. Wells De Lune battled on well to win here last time and still looks well treated although he’s not always been the easiest to win with. CANDY BURG is the most interesting runner though now having his second run for the Olly Murphy yard as he really caught the eye on his debut at Uttoxeter recently. With O’Neill stable in good form Utility isn’t out of this back over hurdles with any support for the well-handicapped Apterix worth noting.
  1. Candy Burg
  2. Utility
  3. Apterix
