Continues in good form and although a beaten favourite at Thirsk last time, wasn't disgraced and was possibly drawn too far away from the action. Conditions ideal and looks one of the likely leaders. Every chance of getting back on the win trail.
Had looked to be improving before a bit below par at Newmarket last time, weakening out of it late, and return to a flatter track may help. Needs to bounce back now, but it's early days and that could easily happen.
Winner here by a neck in early June and ran just as well when third at Sandown last time out, but the worry is that both those runs came at 7f and he might find things happening a bit too quickly here. Chance if they go too quickly early.
Twice a winner in May and looked progressive, and although twice down the field since then they have been in more competitive events than this, and she will appreciate the drop in grade. Conditions fine and could easily come back to form.
Mark has fallen some way in the past 12 months and he looks about ready to strike if his neck second at Chester last time is anything to go by. Clearly well handicapped, and has to be one of the main contenders under conditions that suit.
Had shown some ability prior to getting off the mark at Redcar last time, and although it was only a maiden he impressed with the way he travelled and put the race to bed. This is tougher, but could be on the upgrade now, and isn't ruled out.
Nothing if not consistent this term, twice a winner and only out of the frame twice in 10 starts. Ran well again considering his slow start over C&D last time and although this looks a little tougher, there's no reason for him not to run his race.
Didn't show a lot first three starts but did much better on handicap debut here in May, not beaten far and the form is solid (third and fourth both winners since). Handicapper may have been lenient and with any progression, could be the one to beat.
Forecasts
Royal Residence (5/2), Breaking Records (10/3), Lethal Lunch (4/1), Angels (6/1), John Kirkup (10/1), Mutabaahy (12/1), Wahoo (16/1), Makanah (16/1)
Angels finds herself in calmer waters today and could easily bounce back to form, but JOHN KIRKUP dropped a big hint at Chester last time and is simply too well handicapped to ignore. Royal Residence looks a huge danger after a much better effort on his handicap debut and should improve. Breaking Records and Mutabaahy are others to consider in a very tricky contest.
