Mustameet gelding that cost just €7,500 as a three-year-old. Related to a couple of flat winners and a half-brother to hurdles winner The Nutcracker. Finished seventh of 13 in bumper at Down Royal (2m, good) on debut 49 days ago.
Son of Artan and a half-brother to Flat winner Raise The Rafters. Wore a hood (retained) on his belated debut a week ago when seventh of 10 in bumper at Bellewstown (2m½f, good to firm). Seven-year-old is best watched for now.
Sent off 40/1 and finished fourth of five in a bumper at Down Royal (2m½f, good to firm) three weeks ago, some 423 days after a poor debut effort at Punchestown, more needed.

Showed very little in point-to-points but there's been some promise in a couple of his starts under Rules. Will need to improve to have a say here however.

Well held in bumpers at Punchestown and Kilbeggan, six months apart, and looks best watched for now.

Beaten a long way in a couple of bumpers last summer. No joy in point-to-points this year (failed to complete five times) though did show a bit more in 2m4f bumper at Gowran Park last month, has to build on that run.

5/2
Improved markedly on Rules debut when finishing third at Roscommon (2m, good) on debut for this yard last month and since finished fourth of 10 in bumper at Bellewstown. Cheekpieces added, should be in the shake-up.

Gelded son of New Approach out of a Danehill mare cost 34,000gns at the Newmarket sales in July last year. Beat only one of 13 rivals home in bumper at Ballinrobe (2m½f, good) on debut 45 days ago.
A €26,000 three-year-old, Arcadio gelding. Dam, unraced, closely related to useful hurdler Spectroscope. Likely going to need this for locally-based handler.

11/1
By Getaway out of a Supreme Leader mare, sported a good on debut at Wexford last month and finished a promising fourth of 14 in bumper, can get involved if coming on for the run.

5/2
Promising debut at Killarney (2m1f, good) in August last year for champion trainer, finishing close second. Poor in both starts since, including last month at Downpatrick, and needs to up her game.
Presenting filly who is a half-sister to a couple of moderate winners on the Flat. Tailed-off last of 11 to Ainsi Va La Vie in Listed bumper at Gowran Park in September, off since. Market may reveal more.

Forecasts

Koroleva (5/2), Point Break (5/2), Ozzie's Way (7/1), Pike County (8/1), Ringleader (10/1), Eloping (11/1), Watching Brief (11/1), Blackyellowred (20/1), Lorca's Novena (25/1), Time Allowed (25/1), Presenting Hunzy (40/1), Da Z He Is Jimmys (100/1)

20:55 Cork - 13 July 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Koroleva's debut last summer at Killarney was full of promise but she's not shown anything like that sort of form in either start since. She was supported again on return last month and couldn’t rise a challenge. Clearly she is in good hands and may come good, but taking a short price is not advised for now. POINT BREAK was third last month at Roscommon on debut for this yard and has since run another fair race in fourth behind a Mullins hot-pot. The cheekpieces might bring some more improvement and the Westerner gelding is a sporting call in the finale. Eloping showed some promise on debut at Wexford and may build on that.
