Winner of four races to date but disappointing in three starts since joining current yard and nearly three years since his most recent success.

Lightly-raced gelding who won a 5f Haydock nursery in 2016, and probably needed his return to action at Salisbury last month. Will strip fitter now, and market should guide as to expectations.

Won at Wolverhampton in February, but below form on four starts on turf this year, and hard to fancy despite a sliding mark.

Frustrating sort who was back to form when second at Beverley on his penultimate start, but ran poorly last time, and isn't one for maximum faith at the best of times.

Presumably needed return/debut for current yard and improved when scoring gamely at Redcar (5f) in May. Took a big step up when winning again there last time, and respected for all a 10lb rise makes life tougher.

Runner-up at Southwell in March when visored for first time, but that was a seller, and he's run poorly on turf after a break the last twice. Can start slowly, and percentage call is to oppose him again.

Off the mark at Windsor (5f, soft) in October, and built on promise of earlier runs when winning apprentice handicap at Newbury last time. Bit to spare there, and escapes a penalty, so obvious claims.

His two most recent wins have been gained from the front over 5f on AW, and he has struggled to dominate on turf of late. Similar story expected here, although jockey booking does catch the eye.

Both wins last season gained on Tapeta at Newcastle, but equally effective on turf, and back to form when strong-finishing second at Wetherby last time. Just 1lb higher here, and one to bear in mind.

Standout effort when runner-up in 7f Redcar maiden in September, but not so good on balance of form, and just a respectable effort on handicap debut at Newmarket in May. Plenty more needed.

Kingstreet Ladyb5
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-8| J: Harrison Shaw(5)| T: Mrs R Carr| OR:  57| D

Holding her form well in busy campaign, and back to her best when head second of 5 to Jeany at Carlisle last time. Steps up in class now, but can't be ignored in current mood.

Forecasts

Iconic Knight (15/8), Laith Alareen (7/2), Kingstreet Lady (15/2), Gamesome (10/1), Grey Galleon (10/1), Young Tiger (10/1), You're Cool (12/1), Liquid (16/1), Classic Pursuit (28/1), Sunstorm (33/1), Secretinthepark (66/1)

16:35 Doncaster - 12 July 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Iconic Knight escapes a penalty for winning an apprentice handicap at Newbury last time, and makes obvious appeal, as does the hat-trick seeking Laith Alareen, but a chance is taken on YOUNG TIGER, who probably would have won if starting his run earlier at Wetherby last time, and that proved conclusively that he is equally effective on turf as he is on Tapeta, on which surface he scored twice last year.
  1. Young Tiger
  2. Iconic Knight
  3. Laith Alareen
