Multiple C&D winner, twice in sellers and twice in handicaps for Archie Watson. Has once got competitive on turf since joining this trainer, but not yet on AW. Well held in a Redcar claimer latest. Bit to prove
Another four-time C&D scorer. With the exception of his latest Haydock effort, he has been reasonably competitive from higher marks in handicaps in the spring. Has claims at these weights.
0-17 and went close from 1lb higher in a Newcastle handicap in May. Below that level on turf since, but he is better on the All Weather and a repeat of that Newcastle effort would see him competitive in this field.
A third runner in this field who has four C&D wins to his name, the latest of those coming last time out from a mark of 60. That was a welcome return to form and although he has a bit to find with one or two he should be in the mix.
Arrives on the back of selling wins at Lingfield (6f, AW) and Windsor (6f, good to firm). Entitled to consideration at these weights, but he is 0-3 here and that is offputting.
Won here over 5f in 2016, but currently on a 16-race losing run. Best effort since joining this trainer was here in April. If at that level he would have decent claims, but has to get back on track after a couple of below par turf efforts.
Another four-tie winner here at trips from 5f-7f, two of them being on Tapeta. Unable to make a huge impact since scoring here in March when 3lb lower in a handicap, though hinted at better again last time. Not ruled out.
Moderate fayre to open the card and JUAN HORSEPOWER might be worth siding with now that he returns to this surface. He ran well here in the spring and although not as good on turf of late, if he could reproduce his April effort here then he would go close. Pushkin Museum is worth short-listing after coming back to form last time, while Kingofmerrows and Invincible Ridge should also be involved.
