Runner up to subsequent Hamilton scorer Where's Jeff on stable debut at Newcastle last week (1m); capable of breaking the maiden tag fairly imminently and interesting to see the cheekpieces now added.

Ten race maiden who had the misfortune to bump into the heavily backed and well handicapped Pickett's Charge at Newcastle (1m) last week; could prove capable of building upon that improved effort with cheekpieces retained.

Sprung a 40/1 surprise when gifted an easy lead to score narrowly at Lingfield last month (form taken a few knocks since); earlier form very modest and the percentage call is too oppose from a wide draw off a 3lb higher mark.

Drops back in trip after weakening (heavily eased) on handicap debut over 1m2f at Yarmouth last week; hard to identify any real positives from her earlier efforts, but the blinkers could bring about some improvement.

16:25 Chelmsford City - 7 July 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not a strong race, with Prezzie the only winner amongst the field so far. Ventura Crest is likely to race towards the fore and he showed improved form off a two month break when caught on the line at Wetherby last month, whilst the likes of Formiga and GLOBAL WONDER were both runners-up at Newcastle last week. The advice is to stick with the top-weight; he bumped into the well handicapped subsequent winner Where's Jeff there and with cheekpieces now applied on his second start for Gay Kelleway, this could finally be his day in the limelight.
  1. Global Wonder
  2. Formiga
  3. Ventura Crest
