Won a C&D maiden in 2016, and not seen to best effect when favourite here on final 2017 outing. Back from a break here, but folly to dismiss given he drops in class now.
Has won similar races under this rider at Wolverhampton and Salisbury this year, and thoroughly reliable. Chased home a course specialist at Thirsk last time, and clearly still in top form.
Scored five times last year including over C&D, and figures on last winning mark after a barren spell. Below form last time, though, and blinkers need to spark him back to life.
Races off same mark as when winning 5f AW nursery at Lingfield in 2016 (blinkered), but missed all of last year, and offered little when down the field on return at Salisbury last month.
Visored when winning 6f AW maiden at Lingfield in January 2017, and fourth in listed Carnarvon Stakes later that year. Has struggled since, but handicapper has given him a chance, and latest run suggests he'll be competitive.
Stayed on well to land 7f handicap here in May off 4lb lower, and has run well in four starts since, so respected back at this venue, for all he could find this trip on the sharp side.
Won at Lingfield (6f) in late-2017 from 4lb higher, and best effort so far this year when close third of 12 to Majorette at came course last month. Handicapped to go well if building on that.
Better on turf than AW, and back to winning ways at Chepstow last month. Below best last time, but much lower in the weights here, so can't be dismissed lightly.

MADRINHO continues at the top of his game right now, and can make it three wins under Poppy Bridgwater. Gold Club hinted at a revival at Lingfield and could pose the biggest threat, as the drop back in trip is not sure to suit course winner Fortune And Glory, who is nonetheless respected given his overall profile.
