10/3
Shock winner on debut at Ayr in May (6f good to firm), but ran to a similar level of form when third of six in a stronger race next time at Redcar; merits respect.

11/10
Doing plenty late on debut at Lingfield (6f) last month when a ¾L runner up to dual winner Dragon Moon; improvement highly likely; prior to this two-day fixture, his trainer hadn't saddled a single runner here in at least five years.

Unraced Orientor gelding; first foal out of a maiden dam (Theatrical Dancer); trainer doubly represented and others preferred at this stage.

8/1
€25,000 yearling; fourth foal and a half-sister to a couple of winners including Arlecchino's Rock (6f/7f); dam was a maiden, but also a half-sister to the useful 7f-1m2f winner Lord Mayor; represents a top yard.

Her dam (Bruni Heinke) was a sister to the 6.5f Group 1 winner Garswood, and this filly made a pleasing debut at Carlisle last month (6f good to firm) when finishing 3L fourth to Power To Exceed; further improvement likely.

20/1
Left Ken Condon since a couple of tepid early season efforts in Ireland (7f-1m); makes her UK debut for a much respected trainer today on vastly different underfoot conditions, so there are potentially some reasons to expect an improved showing.

50/1
Stablemate of Jeffrey Harris; unraced third foal by Piccolo out of the multiple 6f-1m1f AW winner The City Kid; should be sharper for this initial experience and others are preferred.

Pop Telecom24

14/1
Fetched just 5,000 gns as a yearling (18,000 gns foal); too green to do herself justice on debut at Catterick (6f good) last month, but this stiffer track should suit and no surprise if she takes a step forward today.

Forecasts

Brexit Time (11/10), Boundary Lane (10/3), Cale Lane (5/1), Agadeer (8/1), Pop Telecom (14/1), Cascella (20/1), Jeffrey Harris (40/1), Lady Flyte (50/1)

15:15 Hamilton - 3 July 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A number of these horses are open to further improvement, including Brexit Time who hails from a stoutly-bred mare and is a rare Hamilton Park runner for David Evans, whilst Agadeer is almost certainly a newcomer worthy of note for Middleham handler Mark Johnston. However, the tentative value based shout in an open race is CALE LANE. She made a pleasing debut under similar conditions at Carlisle last month when fourth to a Hugo Palmer-trained winner, and she should've taken plenty on board from that initial experience.
  1. Cale Lane
  2. Agadeer
  3. Brexit Time
