Has a record here than is hard to fault recording his 7th course victory last time out under a very confident amateur rider (suited by the very strong pace). That was his best effort for quite some time and he's hard to rule out under a penalty.

Makes her debut for this yard having previously been with Karl Burke but running poorly for him when last seen. Now returns from a break over a shorter trip than she's used and not expected to make much impact.

This trip before has looked a little on the short side so despite his creditable run at Bath last time over slightly further he might just get outpaced in this. Visor goes on for the first time and he should be competitive off this sort of mark.

Ran well enough over 1m last time out at Lingfield on the AW but really does need a trip such as this to show her best. Visor goes back on now off a 2lb lower mark and she really ought to be able to get involved in this.

A record of 0/18 on the Flat hardly inspires as he makes his debut for a new yard stepping up in trip. He ran relatively well last time on the AW (Dundalk) meeting plenty of trouble and might able to take a race of this nature.

Hood for the first-time replaced his usual cheekpieces when he was below form on the AW over 7f last time. Went with little fluency there and now significantly back up in trip he's not one that appeals a great deal with that profile.

Twice a C&D winner he's yet to really fire this season and until he does he's not going to be of much interest. He's gone with little fluency of late and looks one to take a watching brief on for now.

A course regular winning here three times but those wins have only come at up to 1m and this test looks to stiff for him. He's yet to fire in four runs here this year and can only be watched at the moment.

Still a maiden after 29 efforts on the Flat and offered little last time out over 7f here without his usual headgear on. Hard to make anything like a solid case for him in this.

Forecasts

Roy Rocket (6/5), Topmeup (9/2), Carvelas (6/1), Solveig's Song (8/1), Higgy's Heartbeat (17/2), Vanderbilt (12/1), Rapid Rise (25/1), Lady Natasha (33/1), Lutine Charlie (50/1)

15:30 Brighton - 3 July 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

ROY ROCKET loves this seaside course and despite the penalty he looks more than set for his 8th win here with his task here looking a little easier and his regular partner John Egan back on board. Topmeup appeals as the main danger now that she’s stepped back up to a more suitable trip with Carvelas in a first-time visor looking as though he could make the frame after his Bath effort. Vanderbuilt is the only other one of interest if he can improve a little stepping up in trip although his overall record isn’t that appealing.
