A classy performer at his very best and resumed with an excellent fourth in the Group 1 Lockinge. Below that level in the Group 3 John Of Gaunt Stakes and stable form rates a concern at likely short price.
Hasn't that many miles on the clock and on just his fifth start for his current stable put in a career best second in the John Of Gaunt Stakes. He again gets his ideal conditions and looks the one to beat.
Former French performer hasn't been seen for nearly a year and now makes stable and British debut. Highly tried over a mile and this is the shortest trip he's faced so far. Hard to weigh up and market may prove best guide.
Ran with great credit in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot when keeping on late. Arguable this is his preferred trip and looks a leading contender.
Consistent level of form over the last year but hasn't won since May 2016. Not disgraced in the Group 1 Queen Anne at Royal Ascot and is better suited back at this trip. Can go well but may well find one or two too good again.
Has resumed in good form with a Listed win at Haydock and a narrow third in the John Of Gaunt Stakes. Once again he gets his ideal conditions and looks a key player in an open race.
Dominant winner of Listed Surrey Stakes at Epsom when getting the run of the race out in front. Seemed suited by soft ground and subsequently well beaten in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot. Others preferred.
Forecasts
Dutch Connection (3/1), Sir Dancealot (10/3), Larchmont Lad (7/2), Tabarrak (7/2), Lake Volta (7/1), So Beloved (14/1), Mankib (33/1)
The John Of Gaunt Stakes looks a key form race heading into this and it may pay to stick with LARCHMONT LAD who ran a fine second and is moving in the right direction. The third Tabarrak rates a danger as does the fourth Dutch Connection although he's unlikely to provide any value. Sir Dancealot ran well in a top class sprint and this distance and grade should suit much better while So Beloved should run his race again.
