The ground would have been against him at Pontefract but he was running well on the AW without much luck prior to that. Will get a decent pace to run at but this will be hard under topweight.
Made a winning return at Thirsk on stable debut. Fourth in this two year's ago but down the field last year and has more weight to carry.
Has drawn a blank since scooping an Ascot Goup 3 in 2015. Showed signs of life last time but up 3lb for his trouble.
Nicely treated on his third to Soie D'leau but he underachieved next time and a hood is given a go on AW debut.
Beat Atletico at Wolverhampton in February and weighted to confirm the form. Closely matched with Soie D'leau on Thirsk running and he is more effective on an AW surface. Should give a good account for last year's winning yard.
Smart performer in his prime but without a win since 2015 and has hardly beaten a rival in his last two starts.
The ground would have been too quick for him a week ago and he is probably best at this trip. Has a good record here but remains above the mark for the last of his three wins in 2017.
Form has an inconsistent look about it but no doubting he is capable on his day. Has gone well on Tapeta previously and finished second under this rider at Ascot last term. This could be a good day to catch him with a visor now tried.
Landed two hot handicaps last year (beat Evergate at Chester) and was made favourite to beat Battaash in a Listed race. Has dropped below his last winning mark from a peak of 101 and this is less competitive than recent starts.
The handicapper has not forgiven him for last year's early efforts. Coming down the handicap without any response and cheekpieces applied for AW debut.
His four wins have come over further but this stiff 5f suits judged on his narrow defeat in January. Not as good on his next two starts but capable on his day.
Had dropped from a peak mark of 99 down to 87 when scoring for a second time. The favourite had trouble in running that day and it remains to be seen if he is as effective on this surface.
Winner at York in October but has hardly been sighted in three starts since. Now just 1lb above that winning mark, but usually gives a more positive signal he is ready than we got last month and makes AW debut.
Landed six races last year including all four he contested here. Last three runs have been disappointing and hard to fancy until promising more.

COPPER KNIGHT has fallen to an attractive mark and was fancied for a valuable Musselburgh prize last time. Tim Easterby's charge is unproven on the surface, but he is hard to overlook dropped in class and with the stable in good form. Evergate has a bit to find with a couple of these on 2017 form but he looks the type who might step up in a first-time visor. Orvar and Atletico are better than recent turf performances suggest, but Eastern Impact has been hit with a 3lb rise for a defeat last time.
