Won C&D handicap last month off 10lb lower, and continued renaissance when scoring at Hamilton last time. Penalty represents more weight than he's been raised, but he's still fairly treated on old form.
Won 5f Apprentice handicap at Newcastle in September, and has run creditably from revised mark on all starts since. Entitled to be sharper for return at Thirsk in midweek, and enters calculations.
Won twice over 5f at Newcastle last season, and made a pleasing return at Beverley last month. Not at best since, although probably unsuited by step up to 6f at Thirsk last time.
Hard to win with, but very well treated on old form, and somewhat unlucky to be demoted from second place in 6f amateur event at Hamilton last week. Solid place claims.
Winner of a 6f handicap at Ripon in truncated 2017 campaign, and better than result on second start back at Beverley, racing too freely. May benefit from first-time hood, and not dismissed.
Successful in 6f handicaps at Chelmsford in January and February, but little solid form on turf, and finished last of seven at Lingfield on latest start. Visor refitted now, but passed over.
Has tumbled in the weights after losing his way in 2017, but had a wind operation prior to return at Nottingham, and while not firing fully there, too early to write off, and this run will reveal more.
On a 15-race losing run, but handicapper has relented and he returned to form when neck second to Imperial Legend at Hamilton last time. Weighted to gain revenge if he can back that effort up.
Only made her debut in August, and belatedly built on early promise when winning 6f handicap at Brighton impressively 10 days ago. This is tougher under a penalty, but she's unexposed, and should progress again.
Seems better on AW than turf, winning over 7f at Southwell in January, and not disgraced at Wolverhampton last time. Did run poorly at Catterick prior to that, however, and drop in trip not sure to suit.
Forecasts
Canford Bay (9/2), Arnold (9/2), Vallarta (5/1), Foxy Boy (6/1), Burtonwood (13/2), Young Tiger (15/2), Chizz De Biz (12/1), Essential (14/1), Imperial Legend (16/1), Good Business (20/1)
The penalised Chizz De Bizz is unexposed and respected, as is the frustrating Vallarta, but it might be worth chancing BURTONWOOD on his second start since a wind operation, and the handicapper has certainly opened the door for him. Foxy Boy bounced back to form when runner-up to Imperial Legend at Hamilton last time, and he's weighted to turn the tables here, so also needs respect.
