Nathaniel out of a Listed-placed middle-distance winning dam (Doggerbank). Cost €40,000 as a yearling. Well fended off recently on debut at Windsor, should improve on that run.

A 210,000 gns Dawn Approach colt, half-brother to several winners, including smart two-year-old 7f winner Oracle and smart winner up to 7½f Mathematician. Stable in form (8-44) and decent chance he'll be ready to hit ground running.

Mount Nelson gelding. Half-brother to several winners, worth noting on debut with booking of James Doyle a positive.

Well held in two runs on the AW at the end of last year, much more like it on return / turf bow at Nottingham (1m2f, good to soft) in April when second behind Department Of War. Gosden yard flying (9-30) lately and likely improver.

Beautifully bred son of Frankel, related to several winners. Should have learned from recent C&D debut when breaking slowly and doing best work late on. Second runner from Gosden yard, market may separate them.

Phenomena colt. Dam 6f winner (including as a juvenile) who stayed 1m. Not an obvious winner on debut and potentially best watched.

Camelot gelding cost 80,000 gns as a yearling. Closely related to very smart 1m-1m2½f winner Class Is Class and half-brother to several winners. Worth market check on debut.

Dubawi colt is a half-brother to winner up to 7f Snow King and 1m/1m1f winner Aridity. Interesting newcomer in the Godolphin silks and must be taken seriously if money arrives.

Champs Elysees gelding that cost 16,000 gns as a yearling. Sent off at 100/1 for debut and beaten a long way. Should come on a bit for that first run.

Forecasts

Marechal Ney (11/8), Jamih (7/2), Reaction Time (5/1), Mutanaqel (7/1), Fox Mafia (12/1), Monoxide (16/1), Horatio Star (25/1), Drap D'or (28/1), Persian Rhapsody (33/1), Paraphenalia (40/1), Battle of Issus (50/1), Swordbill (66/1)

17:00 Sandown - 16 June 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The Gosden pair both look likely in this line-up. Slight preference is for Nottingham second JAMIH, who has more experience and showed solid improvement in that reappearance run. Stablemate Marechal Ney could easily leave behind the recent C&D effort, having run quite green there. Newcomers Reaction Time and Fox Mafia merit very close scrutiny.
