One win from eight career starts with that effort coming on AW at Newcastle. Has not got his head in front in handicap company though and others likely to be on more lenient handicap marks.
Yarmouth winner on debut over 7f last season, beaten in decent company on third and final start last summer. Up in trip for return and has undergone a wind operation. Should have plenty to offer.
Made winning debut at Newcastle on the AW in March over similar trip, not exactly built on that since and was well held at Newmarket (1m2f, good to firm) last month on handicap bow. More needed.
Shown up well in both starts this season, here over 1m and latterly over 1m2f (good) at Ripon when ½L third of eight. Should go well again here though has crept up in the ratings without getting a win.
Improved for switch to handicaps at Wolverhampton (1m½f, AW) a week ago, will surely go very close for local trainer if repeating that effort now from 1lb lower.
Six-race maiden who has been struggling to find consistency and disappointed at Doncaster (1m, good) on latest start last month. Needs to improve upped in trip.
Modest third in 7½f Beverley maiden last month on similar ground. Upped in trip now going handicapping and cannot be discounted from an improved showing.
Turf profile looks modest at best and he remains a maiden. Possibly better on the AW and hopes here hang on the good record of his trainer at this venue in handicaps (stablemate Epaulement looks more likely).
EPAULEMENT made a decent fist of things on handicap bow at Wolverhampton recently and is getting to race on turf from an appealing mark at a track where Tom Dascombe does well. He looks to have strong claims. The Last Emperor is a potential improver having undergone wind surgery over the winter while Benadalid should continue to go well and Ormesher could get involved on handicap bow.
