Would win this on the best of his form off this mark, but it's some time since he showed any of that. Drops in grade again though, and a better effort last time, so may be on the way back for a yard in red-hot form.

A better effort on his first start in a handicap last time out at Huntingdon, travelled well enough and stuck to the task to finish within hailing distance of the winner. Could progress again and yard do like a winner here.

Infrequent winner, and you've got to go back well over two years to find the last time he was successful. In no great form at present and hard to make a solid case for.

Yet to win in 12 starts but has shown some ability, and whilst three runs over hurdles haven't revealed too much, handicaps were always going to be his thing. Yard going through the gears now, and market support would make him interesting.

Not beaten far at Taunton two starts ago but that effort rather stands out in his recent form, and he didn't follow that up, finishing well beaten here last time out. Hard to make a solid case for.

Just got the better of Pronto Tonto in a weak affair at Market Rasen last time, but did well as he was plenty keen enough early and battled on gamely. 5lb higher here, but young enough to improve again, so has to be taken seriously.

In good form and did actually win a charity race (not on his form card) at Warwick a fortnight ago. Went close here last time, clearly in good heart and conditions absolutely ideal. Has to go on anyone's shortlist.

Is proving very disappointing, just the one win in 23 starts for the yard and despite often being nicely backed, fails to deliver. Has at least got a C&D win to his name and conditions fine, but others make more appeal.

Sent off huge prices most starts, given near-impossible tasks, and will at least find this step into handicap company less taxing. Couple of bumpers efforts suggest she has some ability, but still very hard to make a case for.

Sedgefield effort in April, where he finished a staying-on third, is by far and away his best effort but he reverted to type here last time out and was well beaten. Others are readily preferred.

Handicap mark has been falling quickly for some time now, but he did stop the rot at Warwick last time out with a better effort. This shorter trip shouldn't prove an issue, and he's worth a second look at least, with the ground fine.

Just the three wins in 42 starts, so clearly no win machine, and mark falling quickly after a few moderate efforts lately. Conditions fine but really not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

CATCHIN TIME is in good heart at present and won a charity race at Warwick a couple of weeks ago, He almost followed that up with another win here last time out, getting beaten by the minimum margin, and he can gain compensation for that here. Great Colaci might be the main danger if he can repeat his recent success, with the promise of more to come. Simafar and Friary Gold both look likely improvers as well, and this could be a competitive race for the money.
