Axel Jacklin12
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: J Fanning| T: C & M Johnston| BF
11/4
Beaten a neck by Usain Boat at Newmarket on his second start (6f good), and that represents respectable form but he couldn't quite scale those heights next time at Haydock; obvious chance.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: C Lee(3)| T: K R Burke
100/1
Morpheus colt (€16,000 yearling), but not shown much so far in a couple of attempts over 5f at Ripon and Redcar; extra furlong needs to lead to significant improvement.

Beaten just under 4L by Cosmic Law on his second start at Carlisle in May (5f good to firm) which represented a small step forward from his debut run at Ripon a month earlier. Dam a 6f-7f winner, so new trip should suit.

Cost €16,000 as a yearling (by Dandy Man) with the dam a winner at 1m4f. Trailed in last of nine on debut at Thirsk in April (5f soft), but faces a different test here over 6f on quicker ground.

Unraced eighth foal by War Command out of a 1m2f-1m5f winning dam (Final Opinion). Cost €14,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to various winners including Footsteppy and Juvenal (both 1m).

Boasts more experience than the others and has made the frame on all four starts so far at a reasonable level. Consistent; beaten less than 1L by I Am A Dreamer at York latest (6f good), so evidently rates as the form horse.

No Ransom16

100/1
Well beaten on debut at Redcar last month (6f good to firm) after playing up behind the stalls pre-race; watching brief advisable at this stage.

14/1
Monsieur Bond colt (cost £3,000 as a yearling). Didn't really get the hang of racing until late in the race on debut at Redcar (6f) last month; finishing in mid-division. Could do better here, but does need to up his game.

Horse silk
25/1
Unraced first foal by Monsieur Bond out of a 5f-6f winning dam (Hopes N Dreams). Cost £8,000 as a juvenile and bred to be a speedy type, so could be involved if the market vibes are positive.

Forecasts

Broken Spear (9/4), Axel Jacklin (11/4), Theatre Of War (7/2), Look Out Louis (4/1), Firewater (14/1), Princes Des Sables (25/1), Smart Illusion (25/1), Agent Smith (100/1), No Ransom (100/1)

14:00 Hamilton - 6 June 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Kevin Ryan has a healthy overall strike rate at Hamilton Park over the past five years (28/130; 22%), so his filly Princes Des Sables is most definitely one to consider if the market vibes speak positively, but she'll need to be useful up against the more experienced duo Axel Jacklin and BROKEN SPEAR. The selection continues to run consistently well without necessarily improving, but his accrued form suggests he'll be ultra competitive against these rivals.
  1. Broken Spear
  2. Axel Jacklin
  3. Look Out Louis
