Refused over fences at Huntingdon (good) last month prior to finishing a decent seventh of nine at Warwick (2m, good) back over hurdles 13 days later. Interesting to see how he fares in this.
Bidding to complete a hat-trick having won a handicap hurdle at Warwick (2m, good) prior to making a winning chase debut over an extended 2m4f at Kempton (good) last month. One to note despite racing off a 12lb higher mark.
Bumper and hurdle winner but unseated at Haydock (2m7f, good) on his most recent hurdles start. Ran well when eighth at Cheltenham prior to that and he is an interesting contender on chasing debut.
In decent form over fences earlier this year but struggled at the Cheltenham Festival in March and finished a well beaten third at Fakenham (3m, good-to-soft) subsequently.
Successful off a mark of 130 in a handicap hurdle over an extended 2m4f at Southwell (good) last September. Held in two starts since returning from a break including on chasing debut last time and cheekpieces are tried for the first time.
Held in two starts since finishing third at Kempton (2m5f, good) in February. Worth a check in the market on his first start over fences.
Forecasts
Bandsman (7/4), Watcombe Heights (3/1), Carlos Du Fruitier (11/2), Wolfcatcher (6/1), Captain Buck's (7/1), Braavos (12/1), Utility (25/1)
BANDSMAN looks to have a strong chance of maintaining his unbeaten record over fences by taking this seven runner affair. The selection represents the in form yard of Dan Skelton (9/31) and he can see off Carlos Du Fruitier who is making his chasing debut on this occasion. Watcombe Heights ran well over hurdles last time and can take third on his first start over fences.
