Newbury winner on debut and then faced some stiff tasks last year. Should appreciate the return to a less competitive level on seasonal return and will be tough to beat if running to anything like her mark.

100/1
Priced dropped from 50,000 gns as a foal to just 6,000 gns at the two-year-old sales. Quite a bit of speed in his pedigree. His dam was a winner over 5.7f. Likely to need the experience on debut.

Harbour Storm247
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: K Shoemark| T: R Brisland
12/1
Sayif colt, cost 16,000gns as a yearling and a half-brother to 7f specialist Bertiewhittle. Two similar efforts at big prices so far when trained by Laura Mongan. Now with Robyn Brisland and handicaps are likely to show him in a better light.

Bought for £33,000 as a yearling. Gelded before debut over C&D where he was slowly away and never involved. Best watched on the back of that until showing a bit more.

Stimulation gelding. 8th foal and related to several winners at various trips. Dam was placed over 1m2f and was out of a 1m Group 3 winner. This trip potentially on the sharp side for racecourse debut.

Piccolo gelding who has had two starts so far both over 1m. A glimmer of ability on debut but not sure that a drop back to 6f will help. Others more persuasive.

First foal by Equiano out of the solid sprinter Mata Hari Blue (5f to 6f). Has shown some speed on both starts to date but has been weak in the finish. Shapes like 5f in handicaps could be the key to improvement after this.

Acclamation filly that cost 165,000 gns as a yearling. Sister to smart sprinter Emirates Flyer. Half-sister to several other winners. Dam was a winner at 1m & 1m1f. Likely type on paper and market a good guide to expectations.

Iffraaj filly that cost €50,000 as a yearling. Half-sister to 6f winner Eqtiraan. Dam was unraced but related to several winners over sprint trips. Yard now how to ready one first time so market check needed.

Showcasing filly that cost 62,000 gns as a foal. Half-sister to several winners. Dam was average and was placed over 6f. Interesting to see how she goes in the market compared to stablemate Broken Time.

Well beaten on debut here over 7f before improved effort over C&D last time. Been given a bit of time since that run and likely there will be more to come at some stage, probably in handicaps.

Supaulette20
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: D Fentiman| T: T D Easterby
33/1
Second foal by Epaulette out of a 6f-7f winning dam (Supreme Spirit). Cost €32,000 as a yearling. Shown little so far on her two starts and will be much more suited to handicaps after this.

Hood went on for her debut at Yarmouth (6f, good to soft) where she showed signs of greenness. Hood is left off today and is likely to improve on the back of a seven month break.

Forecasts

Musical Art (2/5), Play Mate (7/1), Broken Time (10/1), Harbour Storm (12/1), Tropical Waters (14/1), Boodley (16/1), Servilia (20/1), Supaulette (33/1), Theydon Spirit (33/1), Bluella (100/1), Mountain Of Stars (100/1), Rhosmaen Street (100/1), Final Breath (100/1)

13:50 Wolverhampton - 31 May 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

It will be interesting to see what the market makes of stablemates Broken Time and Play Mate. Boodley is an interesting newcomer for Sir Mark Prescott and any market move should be noted. There should be more to come this year from Tropical Waters who was green on debut. MUSICAL ART showed a high level of form last year and if returning from a break in similar form, should be very hard to beat.
  1. Musical Art
  2. Tropical Waters
  3. Boodley
