9/4
Stepped up considerably after winning debut and not disgraced in Listed Cheshire Oaks. Travelled well but couldn't match some smart types. Could be hard to beat back at this level and trip.

Below promising level of debut when hood removed on her second start so no surprise to see it back on here. Dubawi filly who is likely to appreciate this stiffer test and looks a contender.

Stable's runners tend to improve for a debut but she never showed at long odds on debut and is hard to make a case for.

Cost 260,000 guineas in December and looked in need of debut when making some late progress. She looked as though she would come on a lot for the experience and is bred to be suited by this trip. No surprise to see her involved.

Daughter of Sir Percy who cost 120,000 guineas as a yearling. Starts over a suitable distance and market should provide the best guide.

Daughter of Dawn Approach making her racecourse debut. Stable just a bit quiet over the last couple of weeks and best watched unless there is significant market support.

Nathanial filly out of a Hernando mare so plenty of stamina in her pedigree. Made some late progress on only start last year and can improve significantly now upped in trip for a trainer who gets big improvement out of these types.

Royal runner for powerful trainer making racecourse debut. By Redoute's Choice and out of a Listed winner she appeals on paper. Likely to be trained to come on for the run.

Cost 85,000 gns as a yearling and represents powerful connections, however was not fancied in the market and well beaten on debut. Needs to take a significant step forwards.

Daughter of Teofilo who is bred to be suited by further in time. Stable also run Gifts At Dawn but jockey bookings suggest she may be better fancied on debut.

Forecasts

Asoof (11/8), Shailene (9/4), Floria Tosca (9/2), Sharp Practice (10/1), Pilaster (12/1), Galmarley (18/1), Tomorrow's Angel (20/1), Tobruk (25/1), Cuillin (50/1), Gifts At Dawn (50/1), Mistress Nellie (66/1), Heavens Align (66/1)

20:10 Chelmsford City - 31 May 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

SHAILENE sets a fair standard back in grade after taking a step forward for a Listed fourth at Chester and appreciated an AW surface on debut. Pilaster catches the eye on breeding now getting over a suitable distance and like Floria Tosca was noted making some late progress on debut. Asoof should be competitive if bouncing back from a disappointing run while of the debutantes Sharp Practice should be particularly noted in the market.
  1. Shailene
  2. Pilaster
  3. Floria Tosca
