His debut win (wore hood) at Newbury over 1m2f last year promised better than we have so far seen with his two handicap efforts being disappointing so far. Well supported when last seen he steps up 2f back on the AW with headgear back on.

Winner of four of his last five striking up a good relationship with today's rider and looks particularly at home on AW surfaces. Looked better than ever (on turf) last time although he does have to prove himself over this trip and on this track.

Still a maiden but just the sort who is going to improve with age and a test of stamina. Hasn't really had the race run to suit in either of his handicap starts (slow gallops); could do with a strong pace despite having work to do off this mark.

Dual winner here over shorter trips (prominently ridden) and his two best races since have come from the front. Cheekpieces worn last time are quickly dispensed with as he now tries a longer trip; looks held off this mark.

Tries this trip for the first time with all his wind having come at 2f shorter including one here. Did well to win last time considering he beat two who had the run of the race his very willing attitude coming to the fore; up 3lb for that win.

Four-time winner at Kempton in the early part of last year at up to 1m4f but that run of form came to an abrupt end. Back from a break and having undergone a change of yards he's shown nothing this year and looks out of sorts.

You have to go all the way back to October 2015 for his last win which came under very different conditions (testing turf). His record on the AW isn't bad though and with a reappearance run tucked away he could show more; trip a question though.

Dual winner off lower mark for Jeremy Noseda he has the profile of one who hasn't been easy to train. Shaped relatively well (typically slow away) when back from an absence last time over this trip and could be worth a market check.

19:10 Wolverhampton - 29 May 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Competitive despite the fact that a few of these have something to prove at this trip. It’s interesting that the headgear goes back on White Desert after his poor run last time for an in form yard and he could well be better than he’s shown. Moayadd now has to prove he can cope with this trip and a career-high mark after winning again last time and Smiley Bagel is in the same boat after his game Lingfield win. KAZAWI looks to have more improvement in him and will hopefully get the strong pace he needs here while Hearty should be watched in the market given his lightly-raced profile.
  1. Kazawi
  2. Smiley Bagel
  3. Hearty
