Completed a four-timer when winning over this trip at Lingfield in March. Well held in a higher grade in two subsequent outings and this looks an easier contest.
Successful at Catterick (2m, good-to-soft) last July and put a pulled up effort behind him when beaten a head at Newmarket (2m, good-to-soft) on his final outing of last year. Returning from over nine months off the track.
Made a winning return to the Flat when successful by a nose over an extended 1m6f at Doncaster (good) earlier this month. One to note despite a 2lb rise in the weights.
Novice hurdle winner on good-to-soft ground at Musselburgh in March. Placed in Grade 1 company in that sphere subsequently and beaten just ¾L by Master Of Irony on his return to the Flat earlier this month.
Successful over an extended 2m at Wolverhampton on his penultimate outing. Well beaten fifth of five since however and needs to put that behind him if he's to take this.
Dual winner over 1m4f at Lingfield earlier this year but held on turf the last twice. Return to this surface should suit but stamina to prove upped in trip.
Winner four times last year and finished a good fifth in a valuable 2m2f handicap at Newmarket (good) last September. Likely to have improved for her seasonal debut earlier this month.
Forecasts
Addicted To You (3/1), Bedrock (10/3), Master Of Irony (6/1), Fearsome (7/1), Western Way (8/1), Graceful Lady (8/1), Author's Dream (10/1), Figeac (20/1), Zakatal (20/1), Vettori Rules (25/1)
AUTHOR'S DREAM looks likely to appreciate this drop in grade having contested Class 2 and Class 3 events on his two most recent starts. The selection had been in good form prior to that and he can resume his winning ways by taking this with Master Of Irony successful on turf last time out and the winner of his only previous AW start capable of chasing him home. Bedrock ran well on his return to the Flat last time out and he can finish third in this.
