Dakkar Collonges15
Age: 5|  Weight: 12-0| J: Max Kendrick(5)| T: B I Case| OR:  112
6/1
French import remains a maiden after six hurdles starts in Britain, may relish this longer trip but handicap debut at Warwick (2m5f, good) suggests assessor has been heavy-handed.
2
Horse silk
Seniergues43
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: T J O'Brien| T: R Stephens| OR:  110
12/1
Much-improved showing at Chepstow (2m, heavy) last month when less than 4L second of eight. Should be well suited by this longer journey on breeding.
3
Horse silk
Norman The Red51
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: Matthew Batchelor| T: J E Long| OR:  110
5/1
New trainer has quickly improved his fortunes, scoring on second start at Fontwell (2m5½f, soft to heavy) last month, with maybe more to spare than 1L margin suggests. Up 5lb for this longer trip, should be more to come.
4
Horse silk
Cintex18
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: T Scudamore| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  110
12/1
Finished second in maiden hurdle here last summer over a furlong shorter, best effort since came when runner-up at Fontwell (3m2f, good) this month having made the running. Has been eased 2lb since, gets a chance on that run.
5
Horse silk
Cheer's Delboy33
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: James Nixon(7)| T: R Dickin| OR:  108
11/1
Has shown some level of ability in five-race hurdling career so far and may have needed the recent run at Ludlow after a layoff.
6
Horse silk
Black Buble17
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: Lee Edwards| T: A W Carroll| OR:  108
7/1
Bangor scorer last month over 2m3½f on good to soft and far from disgraced having been raised 12lb since at Huntingdon (fourth). Longer trip could bring about further improvement.
7
Horse silk
14/1
Hasn't built on a promising start in this sphere and recent Ludlow (2m5f, good) leaves him with plenty to work on. Others preferred.
8
Horse silk
Zebi Boy22
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  103| CD
9/2
Much the best of his hurdling efforts when scoring over C&D 22 days ago, goes up 8lb but further improvement cannot be ruled out.
9
Horse silk
Abbey Streeth21
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: P J Brennan| T: P Henderson| OR:  102
8/1
Solid run when 3L runner-up over 3m at Towcester this month, runs from 4lb higher mark today and career to date not exactly defined by consistency.
10
Horse silk
His Dreamt115
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: R P McLernon| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  100
20/1
Bumper winner on good ground just over a year ago but struggled since joining this yard and tailed off on recent handicap bow at Warwick (2m5f, good). Tongue tie added, jumping needs to improve.
11
Horse silk
Scartare21
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-0| J: Benjamin Poste| T: Mrs R Gasson| OR:  81
10/1
Best effort to date over this sort of trip came at Towcester last time when just under 12L fourth of 13. That made it 13 runs over hurdles without a win however and remains opposable on these terms.

Forecasts

Zebi Boy (9/2), Norman The Red (5/1), Dakkar Collonges (6/1), Black Buble (7/1), Abbey Street (8/1), Scartare (10/1), Cheer's Delboy (11/1), Cintex (12/1), Seniergues (12/1), Atlantic Grey (14/1), His Dream (20/1)

13:55 Uttoxeter - 27 May 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Zebi Boy produced a much-improved effort when winning over C&D last time and commands respect for the Skelton's despite an 8lb rise while Black Buble made a decent fist of attempting to follow up a Bangor win at Huntingdon under his own 12lb rise last time. This longer trip should suit the latter but NORMAN THE RED appeared to get the job done with something up his sleeve at Fontwell and should mount a bold bid over this longer trip with his 5lb climb in the ratings seemingly a fair one.
  1. Norman The Red
  2. Zebi Boy
  3. Black Buble
