3-5 so far and remains unexposed after another win at Thirsk (5f, good to firm) last time. Has already won twice over today's trip and a 3lb rise does not look insurmountable. Claims.

Won four times over this trip in 2017 on good ground or slower, rising a stone in the handicap. Held in two runs from higher marks this term. Could get more competitive now back on his last winning mark, but fast ground a concern.

Dual 6f winner on good ground in the first half of last season and now back to his last winning mark. Not far off the mark in two runs from slightly higher marks this term and enters calculations. Handles good to firm.

Won a couple of times over this trip last year, including from 1lb higher on fast ground at Hamilton in June. Has since had wind surgery, which has not produced any resurgence in form. Cheekpieces now on but a fair bit to prove.

Doesn't win often (3-50) but popped up at York (6f, good) in first-time cheekpieces last year when 3lb higher. Blew the start at Doncaster last time, but if he nails that this time then he would have to be taken very seriously.

Appeared to handle good to firm ground okay on his only try, but has done most of his racing on good or softer, winning on soft at Doncaster (5f) last year. Back on the same mark again here and not ruled out if as effective when it is fast.

6f and any ground with good in the description are the optimum racing conditions for this five-year-old, who won a big-field Thirsk contest last month. Well held from this mark last time, however, and up against it.

Won four times last year and goes particularly well at Catterick. Trip and ground are ideal for him and he won from 2lb higher last season, but recent form has not been as good and he needs to raise his game.

Won a Chepstow maiden (5f, good to firm) in 2016 and best effort last year was also at that venue. Not seen since July and has needed a few runs to reach her peak in previous years, so probably best watched.

2-29 (1-20 on turf). Scored over this trip at Wolverhampton (AW) last month from 5lb lower, but well held from this mark on both turf/AW since and not easy to fancy.

Won a Newcastle maiden (5f, AW) in April last year before finishing second in three successive handicaps at 5f-6f, the last of those from 2lb higher than today. Handicapper appears to have opened the door and she is not ruled out.

Arguably better over the minimum trip, but has won over 6f, while good/good to firm ground suits. Well below her best in two starts this season on softer ground, but on a good mark again and it would not surprise to see a revival.

1-19 with that win being over 7f back in 2015. Ran well enough when runner-up on his stable debut at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) last weekend and again has each-way claims from 1lb higher.

0-11 on turf, with all seven of his wins being on the All Weather and over at least 7f. Not easy to make a case for him.

17:10 Haydock - 26 May 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Maid In India has a very good strike rate and may be open to more improvement, so she is likely to be a popular choice here, but lurking lower down the weights, MARSEILLE is a sporting suggestion. Julie Camacho's filly may be able to make further progress this summer and the handicapper has given her a chance this time. Short Work is considered, but fast ground is a concern, Muscika cannot be ruled out, while Athollblair Boy, Lexington Times and Somewhere Secret all make some appeal.
