Twice a winner last year in handicaps over 5f (latest off a 4lb lower mark) he failed to land the hat-trick on his last start of the season. Not the easiest to deal with but shaped better than the bare result on his seasonal return (5f, good/firm).
Temperamental but capable enough here (dual C&D winner) he got back to winning ways to record one of those C&D victories on his penultimate start (race panned out well). Beaten in Guernsey last time out; mark starting to look a little high.
Three-year-old taking on his elders for the first time having gone backwards from his seasonal debut. Both this year's runs have come on the AW (dual turf winner) and may be suited by a return to the surface; looks averagely treated.
Irish raider who ran below form last year but has therefore started the season on a favourable mark. Both runs have shown promise off a slightly lower mark with the last run at Cork eye-catching; ground will be very different though.
C&D winner who shaped far better last time than on his debut this season. He was a winner four times in 2017and given how he ran last time out at Bath (6f, good) he won't be long adding to those wins; only 1lb higher than his last winning mark.
This will already be her 12th run of the year bit she's won three times so far and showed that she was still in good form last time out at Chester (6f, good). Well drawn there she raced too close to an overly strong pace; better than final placing.
Stable/handicap debut after leaving Henry Candy having won one of her three races for that yard. Improved for her debut when winning on her second start and could never really get a clear run in her only subsequent race over 7f; open to improvement.

An interesting handicap with the field equally split between the older horses and the three-year-olds and it’s not an easy one to sort out. Operative isn’t the easiest to deal with but he did shape well last time and may be best of the older brigade although Pastfact looks to be coming to the boil. Prestbury Park is dropped in grade and that may help him while Bungee Jump ran well last time out but the pick of the younger brigade may now well be GLOBAL TANGO who has been gelded and looked a progressive sort last year; the Hills stable has started the season well. Boreagh Lass is the final three-year-old worth a mention but she might just need this and a little further in time.
