Returns from a six-month break having left Hugo Palmer for this trainer. Encouraging that his best effort last season was on debut, but he lost form after that. Now gelded and a market check is advised to gauge confidence on his reappearance.
Has recorded three very similar efforts so far, all over this trip on the All Weather. Pedigree suggests he will be fine on good ground on this turf debut. Has to enter calculations but at the same time he is vulnerable.
25-1 and put up a strange debut performance, losing plenty of lengths when veering right at the start, making up ground rapidly and then fading to be beaten 11L. Can improve for that experience but may need more time.
Was still looking green on his second and more recent start at Pontefract (6f, good to soft) last month, when beaten 4½L. That was, nonetheless, a step up on his debut and he can't be ruled out the prize money if he can improve again.
Looked moderate in four starts as a juvenile. Gelded since last run in September and with stable quiet and a lot of improvement needed here, he is readily opposed.
10-1 and put up a very encouraging debut when beaten just a short head by the favourite at Catterick (7f, good to soft) last month. Entitled to improve for that and worth a try over this shorter trip, so could again be thereabouts.
Didn't make much of an impression in two starts last season, though did improve second time out. Could do better than that at three, but it may be a little bit longer before we see her winning.
Made progress last season despite not winning and was not disgraced when 4L seventh in Listed company at Newmarket in November (6f, good to firm). Looks the one to beat on that evidence and quiet reappearance could have blown off the cobwebs.
Had just one run last year for Bryan Smart and took a big step up on that on debut for this trainer at Doncaster (6f, soft) last month, when 3L third in a big field. Further progress should put her right in the mix here.
25-1 and never involved when beaten 6¾L on debut at Thirsk (6f, good to soft) last month. Entitled to improve for that but likely to prove of greater interest when handicapping.

Both southern raiders Hula Girl and Fakhoor are likely to come in for support here and while both camps can rightly feel that their runner has a chance of breaking its duck in this, neither looks bombproof and the suggestion is to take them on with MONTANA DAWN. David Barron's filly made good improvement at Doncaster last time after being nibbled at in the market. She will need some more of that progress if she is to win here but is a sporting selection. Angels is also considered, while Bowler Hat and Super D J are not ruled out of the prize money.
