Ascot Group 3 winner in October and ran well despite racing keenly in a Newbury Group 3 last time. That winner has franked the form (Group 2 winner at Newmarket last week) and should come on for his latest run. Interesting runner despite a penalty.
Group 3 winner in 2016 and while only seen out three times last year, he won in Listed company here following a placed effort in this race earlier in the season. Would like to see some rain for him to be at his best but not ruled out.
A useful handicapper but hold up style not generally suited to this course and all his best form has come on better ground than what he's likely to get here.
Placed in both the Epsom and Irish Derby and career highlight was a Group 2 success at Royal Ascot last year. However, failed to land a blow in several Group 1 races around the world over the winter and best efforts have come on fast ground.
Course winner in Listed company in 2016 (Duretto runner-up) and a Group 3 winner at Newbury last year but form tailed off a little towards the end of the year. His best form has come on fast ground but not out of this if he bounces back.
Despite having to concede weight to his rivals, DANEHILL KODIAC is taken to land this given he shaped like he needed the run to some extent last time out and the form of that race looks strong. Idaho is the class horse of the race but must bounce back from some below par efforts. Some of Duretto's best efforts have come around here and he should run well again.
