Ended a long losing run at Pontefract last time so clearly suited to a stiff 5f. Up 5lb for that but he was competitive from this mark last year and wind surgery appears to have helped.

Winner of seven races including his only start here. Suited to some give in the ground and now just 2lb above his last winning mark.

Had a fitness edge over B Fifty Two when behind that rival at Pontefract. Now 5lb better off for 1½L but that may not be enough.

Landed this in 2014 and showed she retains ability when scoring at Musselburgh last autumn. Signalled a return to form last time and hard to dismiss.

Well below form on two outings for this new yard after arriving from Richard Hannon's. Was a useful sort as a juvenile and has plummeted down the weights, but more needed to take a hand here.

Like many for this yard she can be expected to improve for her first run of the year. Relatively lightly raced and open to improvement, but has a bit to find with Economic Crisis judged on her penultimate run.

2-34 and both wins have come at Pontefract.Behind B Fifty Two and Amazing Grazing there last time. however, he got stuck wide on the track that day and he will come on for the run.

Well-handicapped on his old form and showed the benefit of recent wind surgery at Wolverhampton last time. Should be winning races from his current mark, particularly when the ground dries up.

Course specialist who landed this in 2015. Did nothing wrong on his latest start and is 1lb lower. Has switched stables and another honest run seems likely.

Forecasts

Amazing Grazing (11/4), Nuns Walk (9/2), Laughton (9/2), B Fifty Two (6/1), Majeste (7/1), Oriental Splendour (8/1), One Boy (14/1), Economic Crisis (16/1), Bronze Beau (33/1)

13:30 Hamilton - 6 May 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Economic Crisis and Bronze Beau have won this previously and both went well enough on their latest starts to suggest a repeat is not out of the question. Laughton would have been an automatic selection if the ground could be relied upon to dry out from it's current description of good-to-soft, whilst One Boy will be hoping for rain. ORIENTAL SPLENDOUR, Amazing Grazing and B Fifty Two clashed at Pontefract last time with the latter coming out on top. However, the selection was conceding a fitness advantage and had to come wide on the bend. His stable are in good form and he can reverse the placings with that run under his belt.
  1. Oriental Splendour
  2. Economic Crisis
  3. B Fifty Two
