Two wins last year taking a novice event and a handicap off 11lbs lower. Ran well off higher marks subsequently and every chance there will be more to come this season.
Having won a minor novice race at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) in September, he then struggled in a big field two-year-old stakes contest here. Yard were struggling at that point and this is much more suitable.
Had an excellent two-year-old campaign that finished with a second in a valuable event at Newmarket (1st of 17 in his group). Every chance plenty more to come this season.
Narrowly beaten a competitive York contest when making his handicap debut over 6f last October. Beaten favourite on reappearance at Wolverhampton (5f, AW). Needs to improve on that to take this.
Gelded over the winter and didn't get the run of the race on his reappearance at Kempton (6f, AW) when staying on from off the pace. Likely this will suit better and still has potential.
Beaten about 3L by Arcavallo when they clashed at Newmarket at the end of last season. Work to do to turn around the form with that rival on that evidence but not without hope.
Had a really busy time of it of late and whilst he has race fitness on his side, he does look in the grip of the handicapper for the time being.
Forecasts
Character Witness (3/1), Humble Gratitude (10/3), Kyllachy Dragon (7/2), Arcavallo (9/2), Camacho Chief (5/1), Wahoo (10/1), Lord Of The Glen (33/1)
A good looking handicap and a few of these have claims to go on to better things. Wahoo has a bit of work to do to turn the form around with Arcavallo from their meeting at Newmarket last season. The selection is CHARACTER WITNESS for Roger Varian and Andrea Atzeni to come out on top. His reappearance at Kempton was full of promise given how far back he was early on and this is likely to suit much better.
