Winner of 13 AW races who has proved himself proficient at this track. Leapt up the weights after a couple of wins earlier this year and has been well held on last three starts. Probably needs to drop a few pounds.
In great form since joining current trainer, winning three times - very narrowly on last occasion - in four attempts from the turn of the year. Has been raised 12lb since the first of those successes, but looks sure to go well again.
Five runs as a three-year-old, winning one of them at Pontefract. Well held in only outing in a handicap at Goodwood, but can be forgiven that lapse and is interesting on AW debut and seasonal reappearance.
Veteran performer whose last win came at Southwell over a year ago. Has been dropped 2lb since disappointing last time, but looks vulnerable to younger rivals.
Fair handicapper in his prime, but his advancing years seem to be catching up on him and he has been well beaten on his last two outings at Lingfield. Handicapper has relented a little, but he still looks up against it.
Ran well on hurdling debut at Huntingdon before finishing a good second over 2m at this venue in first-time cheekpieces. Has dropped 2lb and it is slightly surprising to see the headgear left off.
Registered his fourth win on the AW when winning over 2m under today's jockey at this venue last month. Drop in distance is not an issue and a 2lb rise is fair.
Returning from a break and making his debut for this stable when a good second of seven off this mark in a claimer at Lingfield earlier this month. Has winning form at this venue, but has stamina to prove.
Consistent sort, but one win in 24 AW starts and 30 in all tells its own story. That said, he did little wrong when just touched off over C&D last time and has to enter calculations off the same mark.
Forecasts
Oregon Gift (11/4), Mancini (7/2), Navajo Star (4/1), Marshall Aid (5/1), Voice Control (6/1), Luv U Whatever (10/1), Brigadoon (33/1), Ceyhan (33/1), Planetoid (33/1)
Marshall Aid has a clear chance on form, but his wins to runs ratio is offputting, so preference is for NAVAJO STAR, who is up only 2lb for a recent success at this track. Oregon Gift can go well despite his rise up the weights, the unexposed Mancini is worth keeping an eye on and Ceyhan can get involved if his stamina holds up.
