Alan King is always to be respected with his runners on the Flat and so far CASPAR THE CUB has shown up well in two starts and may well put his experience to good use here in what looks a relatively weak contest. Royal Goldie makes her debut for Richard Hughes and should in time get on the scoreboard for this yard but may just need the outing. Illustrious Spirit has potential although he may not need a trip such as this and the two Andrew Balding newcomers Oenophile and Shailene hold more appeal with the market being used to separate those two.
