Long standing maiden who continues to struggle. Likely to do so again today.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: L Heard| T: J Groucott
66/1
Pedigree suggest he should be better than what he has shown so far. Again beaten a long way at Hereford (2m, soft) last time. Looked short of pace that day and may do better over further.
3
Horse silk
Eskendash29
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: Henry Brooke| T: Mrs P Sly| OR:  124| BF
8/11
Improving with each run over hurdles and went close to losing the maiden tag last time here (2m, good to soft). This race is no stronger and should be hard to beat.
4
Horse silk
Gothic Empire15
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: A Glassonbury| T: R Rowe
33/1
Fairly useful performer on the flat and there were definite signs of promise on hurdling debut at Kempton (2m, soft). Would need to step forward on what he showed there but likely to improve at some stage in this sphere.
5
Horse silk
Hatcherh171
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  115| CDWS
5/2
Dual bumper winner that has shown ability over hurdles. Pulled too hard at Ludlow before finishing weekly in a stronger race than todays at Ascot. Has had a wind operation since that run and it would be no surprise to see a much better showing here
6
Horse silk
Movie Set147
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Brendan Powell| T: R Spencer
12/1
Former Godolphin gelding that showed plenty of ability on two flat starts. Well behind and beaten when falling on hurdling debut at Lingfield (2m, soft). Has been given a break after that fall. Better expected at some stage.
Won nine times on the flat but has looked a reluctant type over hurdles. Ability is clearly still there but hard to trust at the moment.
8
Horse silk
St Patrick's Dayp28
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Adam Wedge| T: J R Jenkins| OR:  104
66/1
Gone backwards on the flat of late and is now lowly rated. Fell here three starts back before weak effort at Fakenham (2m, soft) last time. Needs to show the fire is still there and needs to prove his stamina too.
9

Talk Of Monty41
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: D A Jacob| T: L Wadham
100/1
Beaten a long way on all three bumper starts. Needs to improve a lot to be involved on hurdles debut.
10
Horse silk
28/1
Shown ability in points and switched to this yard for £15,000 in January. One of the more liekly types in this field.
11
Horse silk
14/1
Fair flat performer that has shown some ability over hurdles. Needs to settle better than has been the case so far and jumping let him down late on at Kempton last time.
Showed very little in three bumpers and has been off the track for over two years. Best watched.
13
Horse silk
250/1
Not shown a great deal in 12 starts on the flat and in bumpers. Belated hurdling debut today but will need to improve to take a hand.
14
Horse silk
Min Tikyt1119
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-9| J: N de Boinville| T: M Bradstock
66/1
Has led on both hurdling starts to date, weaking both times to be well beaten. They were better races than this however and the tongue tie goes on for the first time. Not without hope in this weaker race.
15
Horse silk
18/1
Hampered at the first hurdle on latest start here (2m4½f, good to soft). Got back on terms before fading late on. Started 100/1 that day but this drop in trip looks a good move and not discounted.
16
Horse silk
125/1
Shown very little so far and may be playing a minor role once more.

16:35 Huntingdon - 24 April 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A weak maiden hurdle to kick things off. Whilst there is hope that better can be expected from Hatcher, Movie Set and No No Legend, they may all struggle to deal with ESKENDASH who has improved with each start over timber and can finally get off the mark today.
  1. Eskendash
  2. Hatcher
