Hard to say that his hurdles runs have been brimming with promise so far but the last effort was a little better; showed enough promise for handicaps. This is a huge step up in trip for him though but there looks to be some stamina in the pedigree.

Has some solid pieces of form on his CV interspersed with some poor runs and he appears to lose his form as quickly as he finds it. Now back from a break he's slipped to a mark just 1lb above his last winning one; others appeal more.

Handicapper has taken some punitive action for her 33L winning romp over C&D last time out raising her some 14lb. Hard to say that action wasn't warranted though and she's a consistent sort who can't be ruled out here despite the weight rise.

Trying his longest trip so far having stepped up in terms of form on his last two starts. The first on his handicap debut when finishing 4th at Ayr and he looked to be backing up that run when falling last time; chance if none the worse for that.

Took advantage of a fall in the weights to win over C&D (May 2016) but off the course for a long while after that. Hasn't returned in any sort of form and lost interest quickly last time out and looks one to be wary of now.

Might have finally made a little more of an impression last time out here over 2m4f when keeping on well in the closing stages having made a bad mistake. Not certain to build on that run and does have a much longer trip to cope with now.

Her debut run showed some promise but that's never really been brought to fruition in six subsequent starts and she looks regressive. Handicapper now gives her another chance off her lowest mark yet over the longest trip she's tried.

Back over hurdles she showed some mild promise last month with a 4th at Hexham plugging on in testing conditions behind one who has gone on to complete a hat-trick. That form looks far from solid though and a watching brief is advised.

Broadway Belle (6/4), Spoils Of War (5/1), Classical Sound (5/1), Spring Over (8/1), Christmas Twenty (8/1), Birch Bank (9/1), Silver Dragon (14/1), Ollisu Lad (14/1), Millrose Bell (16/1)

17:20 Sedgefield - 13 April 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This could prove to be a real test in the conditions at the end of the card but that shouldn’t worry BROADWAY BELLE who despite the savage display by the handicapper will cope with conditions and should prove hard to stop from following up her C&D romp. Birch Bank from a yard that does well here is expected to show more on his handicap debut but he does have to prove he can cope with this marathon trip. Christmas Twenty flattered only to deceive again last time while Classical Sound is another who showed promise but can’t be trusted to repeat. Perhaps the most interesting contender is Ollisu Lad who if none the worse for his tumble last time has shown potential on his last two outings.
  1. Broadway Belle
  2. Ollisu Lad
  3. Birch Bank
