Kings Ladt76
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-12| J: James Bowen(3)| T: C L Tizzard| OR:  119| C
20/1
Had been off the track for a long time before modest return at Taunton in January. Is very well handicapped on his form from a couple of years ago and top claimer on board. Market move would be interesting for yard that won this in 2016.

Had a superb winter winning three times. Not so good the last twice off new mark but easy to forgive a poor run in very heavy ground at Exeter last time. Progress may not have ended and not easily dismissed.
3
Horse silk
Camron De Chaillacv16
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: Sean Houlihan(5)| T: N J Hawke| OR:  115
8/1
Won back to back handicaps at the turn of the year before his jumping largely let him down in the hat-trick bid. Latest run at Chepstow suggests his mark may be high enough for now.
4

Deebaj72
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: Joshua Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR:  115| D
10/1
Dual-purpose performer who was a winner on the flat when last seen in January. Every chance that progress will continue for this shrewd yard now back over hurdles.

Hit The Highwayt14
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-8| J: Tom Cannon| T: C Gordon| OR:  115

Mark has been slipping and there were glimmers on lastest start at Newbury (3m, soft) that the change of yard was starting to have a positive effect. Trainer/jockey combination do well here and is of interest.

Robinssonp40
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-5| J: Thomas Garner(3)| T: O Sherwood| OR:  112

Returned from a long lay off to post a good effort over C&D in February. Hasn't had a great deal of racing for an eight-year-old but hard to discount with a repeat effort.

Mighty Vict20
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-3| J: Jack Sherwood(3)| T: Miss S Smith| OR:  110

Not shown a great deal in three efforts in novice hurdles so far. Should be seen to better light now in handicaps but hard to fancy at present.

Norse Legendp16
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: H Cobden| T: C L Tizzard| OR:  109
7/2
Well treated on the best of his form but failed to fire when a well-backed favourite on first run for his new yard at Plumpton. Again just a fair effort at Chepstow last time and needs to step up on that to win today. Yard also runs Kings Lad.

Horse silk
Occasionally Yours43
Age: 14|  Weight: 11-1| J: Tabitha Worsley(7)| T: A Blackmore| OR:  108| C
50/1
Veteran perfomer who won twice in November. Found life tough after a short break at Huntingdon (2m, soft) last time and likely to be a similar story here.
10
Horse silk
Great Tempop16
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe| OR:  105
9/2
Mark is slipping and a better effort when finishing one place ahead of Norse Legend at Chepstow last time. Hard to be confident but that was a step in the right direction.
11
Horse silk
Norman The Red40
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: Matthew Batchelor| T: J E Long| OR:  105
6/1
Has hinted at ability on several occasions and a few positives to be taken from his effort in a Grade 2 event here in February. Low racing weight to contend with and any market move would be very interesting.

Forecasts

Norse Legend (7/2), Great Tempo (9/2), Norman The Red (6/1), Hit The Highway (6/1), Camron De Chaillac (8/1), Robinsson (17/2), Deebaj (10/1), Present Times (12/1), Kings Lad (20/1), Mighty Vic (33/1), Occasionally Yours (50/1)

16:15 Fontwell - 6 April 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Kings Lad and Norse Legend both represent the winning yard from this race in 2016 and a good case can be made for both. Deebaj warrants consideration and it would be no surprise to see a lively showing from Norman The Red back in a handicap. The selection although not a strong one is HIT THE HIGHWAY; who showed more at Newbury last time on just his second start for the yard and if he can build on that he will go well.
  1. Hit The Highway
  2. Norman The Red
  3. Norse Legend
