Ex-Irish gelding, won over hurdles at Fontwell and on chase bow here last summer, and has generally run creditably since over a variety of trips. Unseated early on over fences here last month, fairly weighted back over timber.
A 15-race maiden, including in three outings over hurdles. Well held in Lingfield maiden hurdle last month and large chunk of improvement required now sent handicapping.
Two wins from 21 over hurdles, was in useful form at the end of the summer when last spotted, finishing second at Newton Abbot and Stratford on final appearances. Certainly not out of it on these terms if wound up on return.
Fair sort, figures of 2-2 either side of a 107-day break, latest second coming at Taunton in February over similar trip in conditional handicap hurdle off this rating. No reason he won't challenge here.
Record over timber is 2-30, though did run best race for this handler at Towcester (2m3f, heavy) last month when 4L second of six. Chance if he can repeat the dose.
One win from 21 attempts came at Fontwell in December (2m3f, soft) but has run badly in three starts since then and hard to summon great confidence in chances for now.
Attempted to make all at Taunton last month (2m½f, heavy) on first start for this trainer off a 338-day break. Faded late on, entitled to have needed that run. Could have something more to offer.

Plenty with questions of one sort or another to answer. The most solid might prove to be BENBECULA, who was runner up at Wincanton and Taunton either side of a break and won't be done any harm off the same mark here with Bryony Frost taking over in the saddle. Kublai was in good tune late last summer and has a chance if ready to roll on return while Hill Fort ran an improved race last time and can get into this with a repeat. Lizzie Langton and Ramore Will are others of some note.
