Impossible to know where to start in this type of early season contest without being privy to some inside information, therefore the most advisable place to turn is to the market (initially), and then to the paddock. Keith Dalgleish took this with a well-regarded filly in 2017, but the weather up at Belstane won't have helped Northern Society. Vikivaki has a strong synthetics pedigree, so rates as interesting for Robert Cowell whilst both Comete and Hard Forest are others for the short-list. However, at a push we'll opt to go with the Charlie Fellowes trained SNAZZY. She cost €40,000 as a yearling and has the ever reliable Paul Mulrennan booked to ride.
