Landed a Worcester novice hurdle in November, but was too keen when well beaten on his handicap debut at Chepstow last month. Needs to settle better if he is to fulfil his potential.
Gradually getting his act together and posted his best effort so far when a close second in a maiden hurdle over C&D last time. One to consider on his debut in handicap company.
Off the mark in a 12-runner novices' handicap at Sandown, but went up 9lb and found that rise too severe when third on heavy ground at Haydock in his bid to follow up. A less testing surface may see him in a better light and he has been dropped 1lb.
Boasts some fair form over hurdles, but has been on the sidelines for the best part of two years. On the plus side, her handicap mark has dropped 3lb so she is worth a look in the betting with the champion jockey booked.
Stable companion of Delface and Tobacco Road who remains a maiden over hurdles but led for a long way before fading into third on his last start over 2m3f at this track. Shorter trip may help if similar tactics are employed off 2lb lower.
Third contender for his trainer and the choice of the stable jockey. Raced with the choke out when ultimately down the field in a conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle at Kempton last month and can do better off 2lb lower if consenting to settle.
Pulled up on her last two starts so is clearly a lesser light in her leading stable. Still early days for her, though, and she is worth a check in the betting market.
Forecasts
Cap Du Nord (3/1), Sir Egbert (4/1), Martabot (11/2), The Missus (6/1), Delface (7/1), Flight To Milan (7/1), Tobacco Road (8/1), Pointed And Sharp (25/1), Ruby Russet (33/1)
Flight To Milan looks a likely sort on his handicap debut and The Missus is of interest with a positive jockey booking despite her long absence. Martabot looks the best of his stable's three runners, but the selection is CAP DU NORD, who got stuck in the Haydock mud last time and may have more to offer on better ground.
