Reliable as such, and clearly well suited by heavy ground. Deservedly off the mark with an 11L success at Ayr last week (2m5f+). Turns out quickly under a 7lb penalty, over a slightly longer trip and looks hard to oppose.
Best suited by a test of stamina, but far from a regular winner (3 from 40), albeit his last victory came over C&D in September (heavy), when beating Western Jo by 5L. Needs to put a recent poor Catterick effort behind him.
Shown nothing of note in five career starts, and absent since early January. Difficult to see how she can make a positive impression despite a 7lb drop in the weights since her handicap debut.
His career form figures aren't the most encouraging overall, but he was beaten just under 9L on his handicap debut at Ayr in December (2m3f). Possible that he can improve upon that effort now upped in trip (same mark).
A maiden after six starts under rules, and regularly sent off at long odds. Shown nothing at all, but in free-fall in the handicap, dropping 16lb since January.
Reached the veteran stage, and clearly held up by the continual poor weather north of the border since Christmas. Her sole success in 22 starts came at Ayr in January 2014 (2m4f heavy).
Fell or pulled up in each of her last four starts, so form figures not as inspiring as they could be. On a reasonable hurdles mark; 4lb lower than when runner up at Ayr in March 2017 (2m5f+). Fitness taken on trust.
Sole career success was in a three runner Hexham bumper (heavy) 23-months ago, and has done plenty of his subsequent racing at Ayr. 5lb lower than a fair effort there in March 2017 (2m5f+), but pulled up twice since and blinkers now applied.
Forecasts
Haul Us In (5/4), Ollisu Lad (5/4), Spring Over (4/1), Turtle Cask (11/2), Rinnagree Rosie (10/1), Millrose Bell (10/1), Knocklayde (10/1), Dudette (16/1)
HAUL US IN was a decisive all the way winner of a mares race at Ayr last week (2m5f+) and is turned out quickly under a 7lb penalty for her last chance at this 0-100 level for a while. She meets mainly mares in this open contest this afternoon having to prove herself over this slightly longer trip, but she does have previous Hexham experience and is tough to oppose. Ollisu Lad could be the potential forecast option upped in trip.
