SECOND THOUGHT is top-rated on official figures (107), but does concede a few pounds to some similarly rated rivals. He's unbeaten in five starts on synthetics, including winning on AW Championships Finals Day in 2017 (three-year-old). He has seemingly been laid out for this race since scoring at Kempton in November, and should hold the aces over some fairly useful rivals which include the 2017 race winner Salateen. Early Morning is a hardy sort who is having his first experience of Wolverhampton and he rates as the most likely threat in the hands of Luke Morris.
