Thought to want further but successful at this trip in December when the leaders took each other on too early. Disappointing when last seen but these conditions clearly fine. Chances if getting a good tow into the race.
Not seen much over the past couple of years, formerly very talented chaser and would win this off this mark if finding old form, but question marks as to his wellbeing and what he's now capable of at the age of 12 are concerns.
Another that's starting to look very well handicapped on the best of his form, was beginning to come under pressure when a mistake late on did for him at Wetherby last time. Conditions fine but really needs to bounce back now.
Improving fast and deserves a crack at a good prize such as this. Has been a revelation since switching to fences, jumped and travelled well when scoring at Taunton last time and is the big improver in the field. Big chance again.
Some horrid form figures mask the fact he's got plenty of ability when putting it all together but jumping issues often hold him back. Can burst blood vessels too, and clearly a risky proposition. Blemish-free round would help his chances a lot.
Won this last year and now 4lb lower, so no qualms from a handicapping point of view, but form this time around nowhere near as good and he's looked a bit laboured on last two starts. Hopes pinned on a return to Hereford to spark his interest.
Getting the hang of fences and twice a winner over them already, firstly here at Hereford and then Taunton. Couldn't quite finish the job off at Sedgefield last time, and this is tougher, so needs to pull out a little more.
Nothing if not consistent and often well backed, only not to deliver. Came good at Uttoxeter last month but that was nowhere near the calibre of this contest, and was well beaten last time out. Others make more appeal.
Not easy to solve. If you could guarantee a clear round from Mick Thonic then he'd be a player here - maybe the wind surgery he's had since last being seen will help, and he is worth a look if a big price. But KAUTO RIKO is the one going places at present and this strong-travelling type can rack up the hat-trick. Burrenbridge Hotel might have more to offer as well, and needs consideration, as does Somchine, who pops up when you least expect it.
