Won a Uttoxeter bumper when trained by Gordon Elliott, but drew a blank for Jim Goldie and now tries his luck for another trainer. Looks to have a tough task on his handicap debut.

Well supported, he showed much-improved form to land a 3m1½f Catterick handicap under this jockey on Wednesday. Turned out swiftly under a 7lb penalty and has to enter calculations.

Lightly raced and without success in recent seasons, but did finish ahead of The Jam Man at this course last month. No guarantee he will confirm the form given his rival's improvement, but he has a squeak if blinkers have a positive effect

Forecasts

The Jam Man (7/4), Arizona Bound (3/1), What A Dream (5/1), Bertalus (6/1), Glenma (6/1), Border Victor (14/1)

14:45 Ayr - 10 March 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Border Victor warrants respect if turned out again following his good run at this course yesterday, but slight preference is for the veteran WHAT A DREAM, who returns to hurdles off a fair mark following a couple of runs over fences. The Jam Man has to be considered under his penalty, but Arizona Bound looks to have a stiff task under his big weight and Glenma is likely to need the run. Bertalus may hit the frame at a decent price.
