Has found form with a vengeance lately, and looked a rejuvenated horse when coming home clear at Plumpton latest start. Wind issues hopefully now behind him and despite the penalty, every chance of following up here. Drying ground a plus.
Overall record a bit in-and-out, with a couple of falls this season (can jump a bit low at times), warmed up for this with a win at Lingfield on the Flat last month but needs to stay error-free to hold best chance here. Yard a little quiet too.
On a very good mark now if he can recapture his best form, and to that end, the drying ground here a big help. Drops in grade here too, trip ideal and a better showing would come as no surprise. Leading candidate for top honours.
Point-to-point winner last May but has looked hard work in his Rules starts, so no surprise to see the cheekpieces given a try here. Early days yet and may do better, but this trip looks a minimum for him.
Looking very well handicapped these days but doesn't show any signs of being able to take advantage of his mark, was coming under pressure when falling here last time and on balance, others make stronger cases.
Old boy that tends to make at least one serious error in his races but in his defence, didn't do badly over a trip that stretched him here last time, weakening late. Has a puncher's chance of making all but others are preferred.
Forecasts
Holbrook Park (6/4), Master Burbidge (3/1), Sandy Beach (9/2), The Ogle Gogle Man (8/1), Turban (10/1), Spock (10/1)
Holbrook Park won by half the track at Plumpton last time and a repeat of that would make him difficult to beat, but SANDY BEACH ticks plenty of boxes here and can make the most of this easier task. Master Burbridge would hold chances if putting in a clear round, but that's not a given. Veteran Spock will give it a shot from the front and may pick up some place money.
