Good Man Pat24
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: A King| OR:  135| D
4/5
Had looked rather hard to win with on occasions but did a good enough without improving on his previous form to win at Bangor last time out. Stays this trip and beat a decent enough field last time and should go well here despite the penalty.

Cap'n16
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: Nick Scholfield| T: Miss C Dyson
8/1
Offered little on his hurdling debut and since then has faced impossible tasks over obstacles in Listed and Grade 2 company. This will be a little easier but he still makes little appeal and will have more opportunities once he has a mark.
3
Horse silk
14/1
Placed in bumpers in the past he showed some aptitude for hurdling on his debut at Catterick last time out. Steps up in trip here after running over 5f shorter last time and will handle the ground; one who could pick up a small hurdle in time.

Molly The Dolly39
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  130| BF| D
5/4
Scored on his first run for this yard (previously with Ian Williams) over hurdles having shown some decent form in bumpers. Yet to repeat that run which she won by a wide margin (25L) in two starts since and may have to play second fiddle again despite receiving weight.

Forecasts

Good Man Pat (4/5), Molly The Dolly (5/4), Cap'n (8/1), Haasab (14/1)

15:55 Southwell - 5 March 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This looks as though it will develop into a head-to-head between GOOD MAN PAT and Molly The Dolly with the former having proved himself over this trip and looking in better form overall and he should be able to concede the weight. Haasab ran well enough on his hurdling debut and can edge out the previously highly tried Cap’n for the minor place.
  1. Good Man Pat
  2. Molly The Dolly
  3. Haasab
