Ran with credit on her first run on the AW on the back of a win on the turf at Yarmouth over 7f in October. Failed to fire in a better class handicap when last seen in December and will be more at home in this grade back from a break.

Lightly raced individual who was a surprise winner of a Chelmsford maiden over a mile in 2016 (stayed on well despite refusing to settle). Only seen once since then and was well held on her handicap debut over 7f at Lingfield; entitled to have needed the run.

Makes her first start for this yard having previously won a Dundalk handicap last March off a 1lb lower mark. Lost her way in three subsequent starts and sold to her current yard for 4,500 guineas in October; worth a market watch give the connections.

A switch to handicaps saw her score over 7f here in August when proving well suited by more positive tactics. Ran well in her subsequent starts apart from last time out when she found her good run coming to an end; back from a break here.

Has headed back down towards her last winning mark of late and ran well last time out here over a similar trip doing well to stay on after setting a string contested pace. Her overall record (1/23) is slightly off putting though and others may prove stronger.

Shaped better than the bare result last time out (Dose finished 2nd) when taking 5th here after setting a strong pace and doing too much too soon. Still feasibly treated though and would have a chance if given a more conservative ride.

Appeared to be building towards something and so it proved when she took a Kempton 1m2f handicap on her penultimate start (travelled well). Unlucky not to back that win up over the same trip at Lingfield (winner got first run); compensation awaits.

A winner of a low grade Fibresand handicap over 7f at the end of 2017 she's not come close to matching that form since even on the same surface. This is a tougher grade than she's used to and she's likely to find this a tough test.

Took a while to get off the mark but finally got off the mark when taking out a 0-50 handicap at Chelmsford last time over a mile. She looks as though she could cope with a slightly better grade but this is a far leap up off a 4lb higher mark.

Forecasts

Rowlestonerendezvu (5/4), Dose (4/1), Beatbybeatbybeat (15/2), La Isla Bonita (15/2), Naralsaif (10/1), Our Greta (10/1), Ruby Gates (20/1), Princess Way (40/1), Rebel Sky (66/1)

ROWLESTONERENDEZVU looked very unlucky not to be able to score another victory last time out in a race a Lingfield which saw her concede first run after some trouble in running. She does travel strongly so hopefully she will get the run of the race this time around. Dose and Beatbtbeatbybeat ran in the same race last time out with the former coming out on top although it wouldn’t surprise to see the latter reverse that form under a better ride this time. La Isla Bonita is the only course winner in the field and she may do better now back from a break with a tongue-tie on for the first time having been in good form prior to her absence. If there is one worth watching in the market then it’s the new recruit to the John Butler yard Ruby Gates who had some decent form in Ireland before disappointing on her last few runs.
