Won a Cork bumper in testing conditions towards end of last season and has run well in two runs over hurdles this campaign. Travelled well before outpaced in the sprint for home last time but capable of making his presence felt in weaker race here.
Won a Roscommon bumper on debut last year and fair effort when third of 15 behind Catwalk King at Fairyhouse when last seen. May want a return to better ground and jumping needs to improve but first-time tongue-tie may may help. Each-way claims.
Tailed off odds-on favourite at Limerick in December and well backed again here last time but could only finish fifth of 21 after jumping let her down a little. Too soon to be writing off but needs to improve for the step up in trip.
Improved from Rules debut to finish third of nine at Cork last month but that form probably not the strongest on offer and needs to improve on hurdles debut.
Didn't show much when campaigned in point-to-points and has beaten well beaten on three starts under Rules. Step up in trip might help but plenty to prove at present.
Sent off favourite on bumper debut but could only finish seventh of 16. Placed in three subsequent bumper efforts but beaten favourite for the third time in his career last time at Fairyhouse. Jumping needs to improve if he's to be a factor here.
Well beaten but ran okay for a long way on debut here in a maiden hurdle. Took a backwards step last time though at Limerick and has a fair bit to prove in a deeper contest.
Point-to-point winner who ran okay on Rules debut in a Wexford bumper. Hasn't really gone on from that though and well beaten on hurdles debut here last month. Will appreciate the step up in trip but others preferred.
Daughter of Stowaway out of a Charnwood Forest mare related to Outlander and Hidden Cyclone. Unfancied (50/1) and showed nothing in a weak Naas contest last week. May do better with time over further.
Forecasts
Narcissistic (7/4), Thermistocles (5/2), Cut The Mustard (3/1), Catwalk King (4/1), Buck A Trend (16/1), Young Paddymc (25/1), Gliondar Mo Chroi (50/1), Stucker Hill (50/1), Doctor P's Getaway (66/1)
CATWALK KING has shown plenty of ability in his career to date, particularly when tackling a testing surface and he stayed on well when outpaced on the turn for home last time. His prior run saw him finish one place in front Thermistocles who should give another good account in a first-time tongue-tie. The market support for Cut The Mustard on both her career starts is likely significant and she may do better over this longer trip here.
