Unseated on debut in a point-to-point but put that behind him when scoring on rules debut at Doncaster when starting odds-on. Yard in fine form but does have his winner's penalty to concede all round so will do well to win.

Two starts to date in Irish bumpers, showing some promise on debut but disappointing last time out. Makes British debut here for new yard and presence of good jockey suggests they may be hopeful of a decent display.

Had clearly shown something at home and was sent off favoruite on debut at Ludlow, leading until weakening into fourth inside the distance. Should know more now and yard in fine form (6-24) in last fortnight.

Third at Taunton on second of two starts for Nicky Henderson before bought for £36,000 by new connections. In touch to halfway then stopped quickly at Fontwell in November and has plenty to prove.

Papal Bull half-brother to three individual winners (one over jumps). Green as grass on racecourse debut at Market Rasen in September and has been given plenty of time to recover from that. May need more time.

Irish raider, bought for €45,000 as a three-year-old and made promising start when fifth in fair event at Punchestown last April. Not seen since and wears tongue-tie for first time, but definitely worth a second glance on this foray.

May well appreciate this surface more than the mud at Cheltenham last time in hot race when well beaten. Previously scored nicely at Market Rasen after promsing debut and looks one for the short list.

Stayed on into third last time in muddling race at this track suggesting there could be better to come. Had previously looked moderate, so this £600 purchase could be set to give connections some value for money if building on that effort.

£1000 yearling by Dick Turpin, now gelded. No market confidence and finished well beaten when 10th of 14 at Huntingdon in November. Steps up in trip and needs to show more this time. Hard to recommend.

Yard won the bumper at Ascot on Saturday. Showed promise when sixth on debut at Wincanton in December in a race that has worked out well. Should be straighter for that and rates a contender getting the weight-for-age allowance.

Flat bred gelding by Rock of Gibraltar out of a winning sprinter. Not certain to stay on pedigree but yard maintain superb form in first season and any market interest worth noting. Stable companion of Sangha River.

Medicean gelding out of useful Flat mare placed in listed company over 12f. Jockey booking catches the eye on debut, but yard not known for getting them ready first time. Certainly worth checking for market support though.

From a predominately Flat yard but hard to enthuse over having struggled in three starts to date in this sphere. Makes very little appeal on evidence to date.

Sangha River (5/2), You Raised Me Up (7/2), Black Kalanisi (7/2), Normal Norman (6/1), Ballinahinch (8/1), Elviz (14/1), Lord Condi (20/1), Dubai Dirham (20/1), Bard Of Brittany (33/1), Costa Galera (40/1), Queen Montoya (66/1), Amanda's Teddy (66/1), Highway Star (80/1)

13:45 Lingfield - 19 February 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

An interesting start to the day and narrow preference is for BLACK KALANISI who shaped with promsie until tiring close home at Ludlow on debut. He should know more now and can make the most of the 7lb he receives from Doncaster scorer Sangha River. Irish raider You Raised Me Up could be a danger to all having shown ability on his debut at Punchestown, while Normal Norman cannot be rule out dropping in grade after struggling on heavy ground last time. Dubai Dirham also has claims on her last run.
  1. Black Kalanisi
  2. You Raised Me Up
  3. Sangha River
