ROUERGATE appeared to forfeit a winning chance at Ludlow last month on her second start over timber when coming down at the last. Venetia Williams' charge ought to prove hard to beat here if that mishap has not dented her confidence. She has been given time to recover and should have her jumping sharpened, while she meets a fairly tame bunch here on form. Potters Sapphire producer her best effort to date at Huntingdon last time and may be the biggest threat now dropped in trip. Oksana and Trooblue have displayed positive signs in bumpers, though both must improve on their hurdling debuts to hit the frame today.
